The Grumman G-164 Ag-Cat is a single-engine biplane agricultural aircraft designed by US developer Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation and manufacturer Schweizer Aircraft. It was the first aircraft specially developed for agricultural aviation. In addition, the G-164 was designed to meet both the increasing demand of agriculture on purpose-built aircraft and the need for diversified product lines from Grumman itself. The first flight was completed on May 27, 1957. The G-164 was produced starting in 1957 and, despite the change of production rights to Schweizer Aircraft 1980, stopped only in 1995. A total of about 3,000 machines were produced.
