General information about the Bombardier DHC 8-200
The Bombardier DHC 8-200, also called Dash 8-200, is a twin-engined regional airliner. Developer and manufacturer of the machine with STOL properties, is the Canadian company de Havilland Canada, which now belongs to Bombardier Aerospace. The Dash 8-200 is the enhanced version of the Dash 8-100 and offers an increased cruising speed with new engines. Also the 200 version was manufactured within the Bombardier Q series ("quiet series") and offers through an active noise and vibration isolation lower interior noise and vibrations during the flight. Since 2009, however, the DHC 8-200 is no longer in production. A conversion of the cockpit equipment on 5 EFI-890R-LCD screens can still be offered by Field Aviation today.

The model of the Dash 8-200 is designed for 2 crew members and 39 to 40 passengers. Its length is 22.25 meters at a height of 7.49 meters. The aircraft also has a wingspan of 25.89 meters. A launch of the DHC 8-200 is possible up to a maximum weight of 16,466 kilograms, a landing up to 15,650 kilograms. The Dash 8-200 can reach a speed of 448 kilometers per hour, with a maximum cruising speed of more than 30 kilometers per hour compared to the predecessor DHC 8-100. The range, however, has reduced to 1,713 kilometers, while the 7,620 -meter high service peak has remained constant. The Dash 8-200 is powered by 2 Pratt & Whitney Canada PW123 engines, each with a capacity of 1,749 kilowatts.
