Cessna 150/152 Serie

General information about the Cessna 150/152

The Cessna 150 and the Cessna 152 are training aircraft of the American company Cessna. The aspired shoulder decker have a rigid tricycle landing gear and are considered light aircraft. The machine, specially developed for training, was market entry in 1957. From 1957 to 1985, 31,533 pieces of the popular model were produced. The Cessna 150 was developed as a successor to the Cessna 140. It is one of the most popular types of aircraft. The first series still had a straight fin and no remote fuselage back. She could not benefit from a window. From 1966 a refined vertical stabilizer was used and the Cessna 150 was extended. Although the flight characteristics were minimally impaired, the company nevertheless responded to the numerous customer requests. The variant Aerobat was made especially for aerobatics by Cessna. This model can be seen on the checkered vertical tail, provided the original paint has not been altered.

In 1977 the Cessna 152 was introduced. This machine resembles the Cessna 150 externally strong, but has a weaker engine. In addition, the flaps can only be extended to 30 degrees instead of 40 degrees. Due to the low operating costs and the good flight characteristics, these models are often used as training aircraft. Many generations of pilots have completed their flying lessons with a Cessna 150 or a Cessna 152. In the private sector, however, these models are limited. The pilots are heavily dependent on wind and weather conditions. The models are also used militarily. User countries here include Mexico, United States Air Force Academy, Somalia, Haiti. The French showman Michel Lotito even ate a whole Cessna 150, after he had cut these into bite-sized bites.
