The Cessna 170 is a light aircraft of the US company Cessna. It is an extended version of the Cessna 140. The aircraft had its first flight in 1948, followed by the FAA's market entry in the same year. In the period from 1948 to 1956 5,174 pieces of the aircraft were built. The Cessna 170 also includes the 170A, 170B and 170C versions. Delivery of the model began in February 1948. The machine had fabric-covered wings and three tanks.
