General information about the Centurion

The Cessna 210 is also commonly referred to as Centurion. The machine is considered a single-engine cruiser of the US company Cessna. The first flight took place in January 1957, after which the market entry by the FAA followed in the same year. The production time is from 1959 to 1985. In this period more than 9,250 copies of the machine were manufactured. The Centurion is also equipped with a retractable landing gear. In the earlier models, the Cessna 210 and 210A was given space for four passengers and used a different engine than the later models. The Centurion is equipped as a standard model with a naturally aspirated engine. The Turbo-Centurion and the Turbo-Centurion II have a turbocharger and the Pressurized Centurion / Pressurized Centurion II has a pressurized cabin. Since 1993, a turbine conversion is offered. With this increase in performance, the starting distance is reduced by 45% and the maximum cruising speed is increased by 50%. This version of the Cessna 210 is called the Silver Eagle. Furthermore, the machine is also used militarily. User countries include Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Honduras.

The following specifications apply to the Cessna T210N Centurion II. The crew is designed for one person and can carry up to five passengers. The Centurion is 8.59 meters long, 2.87 meters high and has a wingspan of 11.20 meters. The wing area covers 16.25 square meters and the empty weight amounts to 1,046 kilograms. The maximum take-off mass is 1,723 kilograms and the maximum speed is 325 kilometers per hour. The tank has a range of 1,842 kilometers and the maximal service ceiling is 5,275 meters.
