General information about the Embraer EMB 505 / Phenom 300
The Embraer EMB-505 / Phenom 300 of the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica S.A. EMBRAER is a further development of the Embraer EMB-500 / Phenom 100 and also in the category Very Light Jet (VLJ). The 5.23 meter long, 1.55 meter wide and 1.50 meter high cabin of the Embraer EMB-505 / Phenom 300 can accommodate six to eight passengers and one or two pilots. Overall, the Minijet has a length of 15.5 meters, a height of 5.0 meters and a wingspan of 16.2 meters. The machine is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535E jet engines with 14.2 kN thrust each. The cockpit is the Garmin G1000-based Prodigy avionics system from EMBRAER. The maximum take-off mass is 7,950 kilograms and the take-off distance is 960 meters long. The six-passenger range covers 3,650 kilometers and the maximum cruising speed is 835 kilometers per hour. The maximal service ceiling is 13,715 meters. On April 29, 2008, the first flight of the prototype took place. The flight of a second prototype followed on 5 August of the same year. The Brazilian air traffic control authority Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) ordered the approval of the Embraer EMB-505 / Phenom 300 on December 3, 2009. Approvals of the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) followed on 14 December 2009 and April 29, 2010. Since 2008, a total of around 400 aircraft of this type have been produced. The Embraer EMB-505 / Phenom 300 is one of the world's best selling business aircraft since 2013, according to the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA), the Association of Aircraft Manufacturers.
Further development of the Embraer EMB-505 / Phenom 300
With the Phenom 300E, E for enhanced, EMBRAER 2017 released an improved version of the Embraer EMB-505 / Phenom 300. This is primarily characterized by improved performance, improved avionics, adjustments and improved ergonomics of the interior. The Phenom 300E can accommodate one or two pilots and nine or ten passengers if the co-pilot's seat is used. The seats can be configured individually. In addition, the machine has 2.3 square meters of storage space for luggage. Compared to the Embraer EMB-505 / Phenom 300, the Phenom 300E is 0.1 meters longer, 0.1 meters higher and the span further 0.3 meters lower. Like the previous version, the Phenom 300E is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW535Es. The maximum cruising speed, however, is four kilometers per hour more at 839 kilometers per hour. The service summit height of 13,716 meters is one meter higher than in the previous version.
